Thinking Of Moving To Tasmania ?
Now is a great time to make the move to Tassie and enjoy the lifestyle, natural environment, cooler climate and the still reasonable housing prices.
As a qualified electrician, you have sought-after skills in a thriving industry and there are plenty of opportunities for full-time work.
There are other companies looking for new electricians, so why would you choose to join the team at Mance Electrical?
At Mance Electrical we have 2 rules we live by.
Rule No. 1: “The Team Always Comes First”
Our business is organised for the benefit of all who work in the business.
(We even measure and track team satisfaction in our weekly meeting, with the “Happy at Work Index”)
We believe our team members are more important than any of our clients and we always look after team members first.
This doesn’t mean we treat our clients as second rate, or we don’t care about them.
In fact, the opposite is true.
We’ve found that by looking after our team members as we do, they in turn go out of their way to look after our clients extremely well.
We like our clients, and you can see by our 5-star reviews that we usually get great results for them.
But we also take steps to protect ourselves from bad clients.
We sack clients who are rude to our team members or don’t appreciate our work, or are difficult to deal with. (we do it nicely)
Rule No. 2: “Everything Done Right”
Everything done right starts form the client’s first phone call, all the way through the job, and continues long after the work is finished.
At every stage we aim to be professional and ethical, reliable and trustworthy.
This means we always follow the AS3000 wiring rules. We don’t do anything dodgy. We don’t take shortcuts.
We try to provide the best advice we can for each client, and we always fix our mistakes.
Flexibility
Working life might be interesting and mostly enjoyable, but let’s face it – work is something we do to finance our out-of-work activities.
Flexibility around family and other commitments is important to us, and our team members are able to take time off when they need it.
There is only occasional weekend work as we like to have our weekends free, but there are opportunities for overtime as well.
We recently cancelled our after hours on-call service as the team decided that being on call was a major pain they could do without. So we found a way to be flexible and for everyone to enjoy life a bit more as well.
That’s the benefit of being big enough to have a stable and sustainable business and small enough to keep things personal.
Training
Our team members are always keen to improve their skills and we have have recently assisted them with solar accreditation, phone and data accreditation and other industry related qualifications.
We are also developing a program to help with accruing CPD points.
Our work includes commercial, industrial and domestic repairs, maintenance and installations as well as solar and data work.
Clients include local Councils, major national companies and local businesses and households.
We have lots of happy, repeat customers and we’ve been around for over 100 years!
So what does Mance Electrical require from you in return?
Our ideal team member will have a positive and friendly attitude and enjoy working in a small close-knit team where everyone helps each other as needed.
Attitude is more important than skills or experience as we can provide any training necessary, to the right applicant.
Reliability and consistency in attendance and performance is desired, and a willingness to follow established procedures.
Your honest feedback about our existing systems and work practices is encouraged and we love to hear your new ideas, as we are always looking for ways to improve our business.
If you are interested in finding out more, your next step is to email me at dean@manceelectrical.com.au or give me a call on 0417 504 459.
I can answer any questions you may have and we can arrange to meet up for a chat.
All enquiries will be treated as private and confidential.
We can then decide if we are a good fit for each other, and if so, we could offer you a permanent position.
We are careful about who we let into our exclusive team and would rather be short-handed than choose the wrong person.
So… If you think you would enjoy being part of a team that does varied and interesting work, with a culture that prioritises benefits for team members, and where your opinion is sought and valued, and your efforts appreciated, please give me a call.
Regards, Dean Mance
